Southdale Mall

Edina, MN

Southdale Mall underwent a major renovation that included interior demolition and structural reconfiguration. The extensive demolition scope included the existing exterior canopies, multiple concrete columns, mechanical and electrical systems, new floor openings, and complete demolition of many existing stores. Kellington’s large demolition crew adjusted to a night schedule to accommodate the mall’s continued operations. On any given night, the debris created by our demolition crew filled ten 30 yard dumpsters.

Our carpentry crew was a part of creating a fresh, new atmosphere for the Southdale Mall. The carpentry work featured towering wood column wraps and three wood slat hanging ceiling elements. Special equipment was needed for the installation since the slats were placed forty feet in the air. In addition our crew replaced wood hand rail throughout the entire mall, installed doors and hardware, and bathroom specialties.
