Chaska, MN
The University of Minnesota created the Tashjian Bee Discovery and Pollinator Center as a way to educate the public about bees. Kellington was brought in to Bee Discovery to perform the carpentry work on this stylish educational building. This site is out in the middle of an open field at the Arboretum in Chaska. Kellington was there from beginning to end, starting with the exterior wood framed structure. We used structural insulated panels for the exterior wall and roof panels. Our carpentry crew completed the exterior envelope by installing the exterior windows and siding. The interior finish was just as breathtaking; with perforated wood paneling and trim in various exhibit and teaching areas. This will be a very popular location for field trips and Arboretum goers.
